本词典根据WHO、世中联两个国际标准和国家标准对第一版的词条进行了修订，并在第一版基础上新增了944个词条。全书共收集8330个词条，其中包括术语7880条和常用引文450句。另外，本词典还新增了“中医名词术语中常用字的字义、英译及例证”一章作为附录，帮助读者从字源的角度理解中医名词术语及其翻译。本书仍按中医教材分类编排，保持其既是工具书又可作为中医微缩全书的风格。书末附有4种索引，以方便读者从不同角度检索查询。

The dictionary is a revised version of Classified Dictionary of Traditional Chinese Medicine (New Edition) referring to WHO, WFCMS and national standards, with an addition of 944 entries. It collects a total of 8,330 entries including 7,880 terminologies and 450 citations and maxims. The appendix of “Commonly Used Chinese Characters in TCM Terminologies” is added in order to help readers understand TCM terminologies and their translations from etymological origins. The entry arrangement strategy, that terminologies, citations and maxims are classified in accord with a TCM textbook, remains unchanged, so the advantageous style of the monograph of being both a tool book and a mini-encyclopedia is inherited. Four indexes are set up at the end of the dictionary to facilitate query search.
