Tea culture plays a crucial part in Chinese tradition. Nowadays, tea remains an important part in people's lives. Chinese tea are mainly classified as green tea, red tea (black tea), Wulong tea, white tea, yellow tea, and reprocessed tea.

茶文化在中国文化中占据着重要的位置,现在人们的日常生活中也少不了茶。中国的茶分为绿茶、红茶、乌龙茶、白茶、黄茶以及功能茶。

Green Tea(绿茶)

Green tea is made by the new shoots of appropriate tea trees. The production areas are mainly southern provinces such as Zhejiang, Anhui and Jiangxi. Famous green teas are West Lake Dragon Well Tea, Xinyang Maojian Tea and Biluochun Tea.

绿茶来自于茶树上的新鲜芽尖,大部分产于中国的南方省份,例如浙江、安徽和江西,西湖龙井、信阳毛尖以及碧螺春都是其中的珍品。

Black Tea(红茶)

Black tea, known as "red tea" (hong cha) in China, is a completely fermented tea. It is a later variety developed on the basis of the green tea. The production of Chinese black tea includes mainly four procedures: withering, rolling, fermenting and drying. Chinese black tea is mainly for exporting due to the favor of Western tea drinkers, even if it used to once stopped during the war during which India and Sri Lanka black teas was taking the majority part of the international black tea market with their thick leaves with strong flavor. Nowadays, Chinese black tea is still keeping popular in the world.

红茶,是一种完全发酵的茶,是在绿茶基础上新发展出来的一种茶。中国红茶的生产过程主要包括四个步骤:萎调、揉捻、发酵、干燥。由于西方顾客的口味偏好,中国红茶主要用于出口,虽然在战争期间,这种贸易曾一度停滞,而印度和斯里兰卡产的页厚、味重的红茶取代它占据了大部分的国际红茶贸易市场。如今,中国红茶在世界上依然很受欢迎。

Wulong Tea(乌龙茶)

Wulong tea or blue tea is an unfermented tea. It is blend of green tea and red tea, with qualities of both of them. Popular brands of Wulong tea are Anxi Tieguanyin, Dongding Wulong Tea and Wuyi Dahongpao.

乌龙茶(蓝茶)是一种未发酵的茶,混着了绿茶和红茶的特点和品质,著名的乌龙茶有安溪铁观音、洞顶乌龙茶和武夷大红袍。

White Tea(白茶)

White tea is uncured, unfermented, fast-dried tea. It is a special product in Fujian Province. Compared with other teas, white tea is lighter in color and flavor. Famous white teas are Baihao Yinzhen and Bai Mudan (White Peony).

白茶是一种没有经过熏制和发酵,并且快速烘干的茶,产于福建省。与其他茶叶品种相比较,白茶的颜色淡浅,味道清淡。比较著名的有白毫银针茶和白牡丹茶。

Yellow Tea(黄茶)

Yellow tea is produced by leaving damp tea leaves to turn yellow naturally. This kind of tea obtains an original smell and it can be mistaken for red tea, but its taste is most similar to green and white teas. China's most famous yellow tea is Junshan Yinzhen. It is made in Junshan, Hunan Province.

黄茶的制作需要将潮湿的茶叶放在潮湿的地方,等到其自然发黄。这种茶叶具有最原始的茶香,但是人们也容易将它和红茶相混淆,黄茶的味道与绿茶和白茶相近。中国最著名的黄茶是君山银针,出自湖南省的君山。

Reprocessed Tea(功能茶)

This kind of tea is made by mentioned teas as materials then make them further reprocessed. The reprocessed tea contains scented tea, pressed tea, instant tea, fruit tea, medicinal tea and health tea, with lots of different flavors and effects.

功能茶是将已经成形的茶进行再加工得到的,包括花茶、压制茶、速溶茶、水果茶、中药茶和健康茶等各种各样的口味。
