FOX NUTS AND BAT NUTS
The large wood bucket floated
on the even larger water surface
me the little boy sitting in the bucket center
It was my first sailing away from the land
to the home of fox nuts and bat nuts
The large autumn sun shone on the placid water
and I gained at a glowing age
wet memories, memories leading to
the hometown of fox nuts and bat nuts
The adults were interested in what’s beneath the water
while I was only keen on what’s above
Rowing and rocking the bucket left and right
I shall travel to places I had never been
I shall harvest the fruits of water
I shall transport them to the land
I shall move their hometown to mine
