Survey on the Physical Growth and Development of Disabled Children aged 7～18 in Guangzhou and Dongying City

［Abstract］Objective To explore the physical growth and development conditions of disabled children ( except that with physical disability) aged 7～18 in Guangzhou and Dongying city.Methods A census was carried out among disabled children aged 7～18 in Guangzhou and Dongying city.Study the physical growth and development conditions through height and weight of disabled children.Results Height and weight of disabled children are both lower，compared with physically healthy children.The rate of thin is 12.61% among boys with disability and 12.54% among girls，rate of growth retardation is 31.41% among boys with disability and 34.94% among girls.Conclusion Dis-abled children aged 7～18 are in bad condition of physical growth and development.The rates of thin and growth retardation are high among boys and girls with disability.We should pay highly attention to the condition of physical growth and development of disabled children，and build a proper circumstance for them to grow better.
