Director of Public Prosecutions

【英文】The prosecution is actually brought by a barrister in the Crown Court or a barrister or solicitor or the police in the magistrates’ court.The police usually start the action but may employ a specialist to speak in court. It is possible,although rare,for a private individual to initiate criminal proceedings.In some particular areas of the criminal law,for example,the Trade Descriptions Act 1968,alternative agencies initiate prosecutions.The Director of Public Prosecutions is often involved in the prosecution of really serious crimes.
