Foreword

According to the requirement of About notice of print and distribution of 2008 engineering construction standard specifications making and revision（the second group）（Jian Biao［2008］No.105）claimed by the ministry of construction of housing and urban and rural areas，the code is revised and completed based on the GB 50172-92 Electril equipment installation engineering，Code for construction and acceptance of batteries by China electric power scientific research institute with the relevant units.

This main technical content of the code are:general provisions，terms and symbols，basic requirements，valve regulated sealed lead-acid batteries，nickel-cadmium alkaline batteries，quality acceptance，etc.

Compared with the original code，the main content revised in the code are as follows:

1.Changing the fixed lead-acid battery group with the application scope that the voltages 24V and above，and the capacity is 30A·h and above to the valve regulated sealed lead-acid battery group whose voltage is 12V and above，and the capacity is 25A·h and above in this code.

2.Increasing two chapters:terms and symbols，basic provisions.

3.Deleting the relevant content of original code chapter 2-anti-acid lead-acid batteries；added the content of VRLA batteries.

4.Deleting the original code chapter 4-the terminal voltage switchers.

5.Deleting the original code appendix I"Materials and Electrolyte Standards for Lead-acid Batteries".

The provisions marked by boldface are mandatory provisions and they must be strictly implemented.
