2.4 Breastfeeding Condition
In 2013, the rate of exclusive breastfeeding of Chinese infants within 6 months old was 20.8%: 19.6% and 22.3% for urban and rural respectively. That of infants within 6 months old was 48.3%: 43.0% and 54.1% for urban and rural respectively (Fig. 2-11).

Compared with 71.6% in 2002, the basically exclusive breastfeeding rate of infants within 4 months old fell to 56.5%, with an absolute reduction of 15.1% (Fig. 2-12).
